What Exactly is
Design Research?
Design research is a broad term for the process that designers use to better understand the underlying and sometimes hidden desires, needs, and challenges of end users, also known as the target audience.
The design research process involves studying qualitative and quantitative research metrics in order to fully understand the target audience along with their needs and behaviors. It also allows for the designers to immerse themselves in the client’s industry, gaining knowledge of the competitive landscape, and then custom tailoring a site around identified opportunities.
